Privacy Policy

We're two guys and a garage, not a data company. We collect only what we need to build your order, get it to you, and answer your emails — and that's where it ends. This page explains, in plain terms, what information we collect at roughcutcedarco.com, how we use it, and who handles it along the way.

What we collect

When you place an order or request a custom quote, we collect your name, email address, shipping address (if we're shipping to you), and the details of what you ordered. If you send us photos with a custom-quote request, we keep those too so we can build what you have in mind. If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can follow up.

Your shopping cart lives in your own browser (in what's called localStorage), not on our servers. Until you check out, we don't see what's in it.

How we use it

We use your information to process and fulfill orders, arrange pickup or delivery, respond to custom-quote requests, and send you transactional emails about your order — things like confirmations and receipts. That's the job, and that's what the data is for.

If you check the marketing-consent box at an in-person checkout, we may send you an occasional newsletter down the road. We haven't started one yet, and you can unsubscribe anytime by emailing us at orders@roughcutcedarco.com — a real person will take you off the list.

Text messaging

If you opt in to text messages from us — at checkout, over the phone, or in person — we use your number to text you about your order and, if you've said it's okay, occasional promotions. Your phone number and your consent to receive texts are never shared or sold to any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Message frequency varies, and message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

Who handles your data

We're a small shop, so we lean on a few trusted services to run the website. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job:

Finixprocesses card and ACH bank payments. Your payment details go directly to Finix — we never see or store your full card number or bank account details. Supabase hosts our database, where order and contact information is stored. Resendsends our transactional emails, like order confirmations. Photos you upload with a custom-quote request are stored privately and aren't publicly accessible.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information. We don't rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone beyond the services above. We don't run ad trackers or analytics cookies on this site — no pixels following you around the internet because you looked at a planter.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as we need them for bookkeeping, taxes, and honoring our returns policy. If you'd like us to delete your information, email us at orders@roughcutcedarco.com and we'll remove what we're not legally required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email whenever you like. Just email us — we're not going to make you fill out a form.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Nothing sneaky.
